Hi All,
I hear alot mentioned about deep sixes on people's esses...these were never stock any year for 71-73, correct? The 6x15 Fuchs were standard equipment- were deep sixes an option?
Thanks,
MT

MT, deep sixes are the 6x15s but, 69-mid 71 . There are two different types of 6x15s.Originally Posted by Kaleid

Ah...thanks for the clarification- I sometimes see front/back Fuchs staggered in that the rears are deeper a la RS- that, I'm assuming is not standard...Originally Posted by 70SATMan
There were also two types of deep sixes: early with hearts and late without hearts.

You are correct sir. Flat sixes mid 71-73. Not mixed with the deeps by the factory that I've ever heard or seen. Flat six on front, early seven on the rear of course for the RS and probably for other late 73s if you special wished it. I wonder what deeps on the rear and flats on the front would look like? Not sure I'd like it.Originally Posted by Kaleid

How do you tell the difference between the two styles of 6 X 15 Fuchs. I thought that the 6 X 15 wheel was the deep six. Does anyone know the two part numbers for these 6" wheels?
Deep six part number is:
901.361.012.06
Flat six part number is:
911.361.020.00 (3-pronged centre cap)
911.361.020.10 (ring type centre cap)

yea and the early deep six with 06 part number can either have heart shape cut out or flat shape cut out at the valve stem so one more variable to confuse you, got to love these early P cars

This may help with the ID between "deep" and "flat" style 6s.
I have a list of all the fuchs I have had and these indicate that the change of deep 6 heart to none heart was around 9/10 1970 and then to flat 6 around 3/4 1971.
Thanks

Is there a ring available for the 3 prong hub caps so they fit in the bigger center (later) Fuchses. I hate to see the 2 holes in the regular ring type hub cap.
Thx,
Cees
