Emory Display at The Ventura Show

Hi all,

I just received an email from Bob Campbell asking me to relay the following information.

Gary and Rod Emory will have their 80's transporter full of goodies for you all to enjoy at the 2006 Ventura Show. From a Porsche 906, to Rod Emory's incredible Outlaw Cabriolet, 'The Cabriolet Porsche never built', to 356 and 911 race cars and a few other surprises sprinkled in for effect.

But wait, there's more; Gary Emory has basically put together all the pieces to his old parts counter and recreated the area and atmosphere of his old store in Costa Mesa, right down to the stools. He has asked me to extend an invitation to all his buddies to stop by, plunk yourself down on a stool and say Hi. Man, there are going to be some stories told around that parts counter.

You mean the same old Costa Mesa parts counter that I would go hang out at when I was 16 and nuts for 356 Porsche's? Gary was allways very patient and it was not until I was 27 (wow the last 17 years went quick) that I got my first Porsche, a 57 Speedster project. Gary's brother Don helped me find that car (I still have it) and Gary has told me about seeing the car come in for service when he worked at the dealer in Newport.

The Emory's are great people!
