WTB original or as close as possible, black / white hounds tooth material to do to 2 sport seats for a 73.
I gave up on the cord material.

Mike, I've followed this closely. Based on the most recent thread, Tony @ Autobahn or SitzClinic are the most likely sources.

I would, however, also try Mark Allin at Vintage Seats as he is doing some very good things there and I wouldn't be surprised if he has researched this also. He's very good to work with.

Houndstooth will look outstanding next to dalmation blue. Good luck.

I think this is the right address. The classic department at Porsche told me this spring that they recomended sitzklinik and I bought some from them. It is very close to the original. see pic.

The small pic is from the original fabric.

Mark can supply nice houndstooth on seats he sells, I don't know if he will sell fabric by itself. I believe it is the Sitzclinic material that he uses. Have you tried Tony for the cord. material. Also I belive there is a post on pelican that there is some houndstooth on ebay right now.

John, I don't speak german how did you work with them?

Very wise, I have no idea how to tell if it's the real thing or not.Originally Posted by mike walker

The Sitzklinik fabric is correct in pattern size, and the colors look right as well. However their fabric has a higher thread count to make the pattern than original, it is also much "flatter" finish than original. The original yardage had a much higher loft to it. Vintage seats utilizes Sitzklinik fabric.

An email to Sitzklinik is the way to go. They don't speak perfect english but enough to send you the correct fabric for 2 seats including headrests if you dare (I didn't). The fabric feels like wool as it's quite thick and warm, the pattern looks correct to me and no one told me it didn't look right (le Mans Classic, etc...).
