I currently have 7x15s on my 68S, and am seriously considering going to deep sixes to get a more period correct look (although correct is 5.5x15).
Would I still be able to keep my 205/55 tires with the 6x15s?
Thanks

Hi Henry,
I cannot speak for the Deep sixes as I have 6x15 cookie cutters. I think the issue would be the same. I am currently running 205/55-15's. My only "problem" was that my ride height was set with my old 205/60-15's and I am bit lower than I would really like.

Thanks Harry,
That would not be a problem for me since my setup is with those tires already, my only change would be from 15x7 to 15x6, my question is more geared to the fit of the 205 tires in the 6" wheel

btw - you wouldn't want to off those 7s would you? I might be interested. I have three sets of 6s here - ranging from needing refinishing, to done by Weidman, to absolutely mint original. No, my wheels aren't necessarily for sale, but I AM on the lookout for a nice, clean set of 15x7s...

Thom,
I'm about to buy a pair from Weidman and have him refinish them, and then sell my 7x15, so if you're interested in some sort of trade, it might save me some time and hopefully some money. I want deep sixes with hearts by the valve stem, and in very good to excellent condition.
email me if you have any ideas and some pictures.
Thanks

I know of several sets of deep sixes that run 205/55s with great results. I have also seen deep sixes widened to 7R specs which run 225/50s with great results. This is the ultimate sleeper combo; RS traction on a narrow body is sweet!

Thanks for all the replies, now I just have to make up my mind to exchange my very good 15x7s (and substantial cash) for a set of Weidman deep sixes, though choice.

I recently posted a pic of my car (ok, maybe a few ) in the "Show your car" thread. It has 205/55 on deep 6's and 225/50 on 7Rs. I like the look
