    soft covers or metal ones?

On the opening page of Edmond harris site (edmondharris.co.uk) a racing 911 has Cibie yellow covers held in place by elastic straps. I have never seen these but found on the web some black one with small circular "windows" to see if lights are on/off. Would these be correct and the right diameter? I would prefer them to the soft cover type.

PS: John, nice article in the Esses, and nice car as well. The contradicting info on the #114 between Sweden/Japan shows how info. Porsche could be providing owners..

    Hi Milou, John,

    See the thread

    http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...ead.php?t=5569

May be we can have a run of copies done? I am in for a few sets.

I'm in for a two sets if we can get a run made. I've seen these covers and they are beautiful, down to "Cibie" on the straps!

A very long way behind this option in quality and authenticity is to go to JC Whitney and buy a pair of the KC vinyl covers for 6" round lights.

I bought the black ones and took off the logo with goo gone. They're a tight stretch fit, but they fit and provide protection during the day. I've ordered a pair of the yellow ones and if they're the right color and the logo comes off easily I thought I'd see if I could find someone to put the Cibie logo on them.

Sorry the URL didn't print correctly. Go to JCWhitney.com, choose Lights and Lighting, then Driving and Fog Lights, then Driving and Fog Light Covers.

I would purchase a pair or two as well. On the thread, I saw they were repros, so somebody made them already and could possibly do a small run for motivated members? They look great!

Wink who can make repros of Cibie Covers?

According to another member, it seems unlikely that any further Cibie covers will be made as it was only done for presonal use. Any ideas who could have them made?

    covers

I have seen these on e-bay out of England and they ran about $250.I didn`t buy them because they were black with black rubber straps and ,with the clear plastic lens at the 12:00 position, looked hard to paint to body color.I am interested in a set also. The yellow cover with the "Cibie" logo solves the problem for me.The covers on the JCWhitney site are flat and my lenses are convex with a depth of one inch and 6.5 inches across including the housing. Those covers are too small and won`t stay on! Looks like there is enough interest to run at least a dozen sets
