    Tom,

It is very hard to tell from the one small photo of the underside of the ducktail. You will have to get more detailed photos and a good description from the seller to know for sure. The latch brace and license plate light holes look right, but it needs to have a metal (steel or AL) frame along with a metal latch brace.

    Tom,

    I don't think so...
The frame and latch support look wrong...

I think even the later series Carrera's kept the same frame with the same license light bosses, but just didn't punch the holes...

I'm posting pics of the tail in the ad, and a couple of mine...
Mine is a '73 factory tail...

    Hope this helps...

    Cheers,

Thank you, Chuck. I should have noticed the differences myself. Even my 77 Turbo has the embossed areas for the license plate lights, so I am convinced that the one in the ebay ad is a repro. Still, it looks like a nice car. What color is yours?

    Tom,

My car is #334 Blue Metallic...

The color was offered from about '70-'75... before '73 it was called #324 Blue Metallic

Yep, Chuck shows the real stuff and the tail on that car is not an original one, my bad. There are no holes for the tie down straps either.

    Chuck,

The '74 Carrera tails had license plate light cut outs but there was a block out plate screwed into both retangular holes.
