'73 E Targa in MI. on collector car trader

NOT MINE, just found it while searching.....

Sorry, i don't know how to link.

I talked with the guy and if the car was a coupe i'd be there.

Silver w/ black interior. Motor rebuilt in '80s. Says he has rec'd a lot of calls on it. I did not ask for pics as i was hoping for the big 'S' find at $19k obo but it was not to be.

    Car sounds very nice.

Hi, I looked at this car last week and took several pictures. If anyone wants to see them let me know. Facts: old respray starting to crack on hood, bubbles starting on lower doors and upper fender, drilled 1" dia hole in the middle of the targa bar for an antenna, short shift kit and stalk (I didn't like it), newer incorrect carpet, nice redone leather seats, cheapo dash cover to cover usual cracks, aftermarket exhaust (I didn't like it), lower trip strips warped (rust underneath?), H-4's (he has originals), engine idled and ran just fine. Very nice, honest man. I considered it but at $19,995 it needed a trim off paint job, dash, carpet etc..so I'm still looking

Brian - No, silver. Not sure what part of MI though.

Leon- Really interesting to read your impressions. I suspect i have a lot of practice and learning to do before i can do a solid phone interview and get a reliable impression of a car. Had it not been a targa i would certainly have pressed further but didn't want to take up a lot of the guy's time.

Eric, Brian....the car is about 30 miles south of Grand Rapids. It looked great from ten feet but.... It is VERY true when you hear the statement, "get the best car you can out the shoot even if it means more $$". It takes a lot to put things back right on these cars as you all know. My $.02
