    Correct Interior for '67S

My '67S (09/19/66) was optioned with red leatherette. Does anyone have any non-black interior pictures for reference, any alternative color will do.

Most of the pictures of interiors I have show two tone interiors, black for dash and door tops but the optioned color else where.

    What is correct?

    Thanks, Sumner

    non-black interior

Your description is correct to the best of my knowledge. My car came with a light tan interior. It has black trim as you mentioned. Also black dash with light tan package tray and jump seats.

I haven't seen a red/black combination like yours. It sounds like it would be really sharp! What exterior color?

    Good luck!

If you can get hold of a copy of Original Porsche 911, by Peter Morgan, i think you will find some nice interior photos of the 67S (from memory)

    Correct Interior

The exterior color should be Schiefergrau/Gris Ardoise/Slate Grey 6601, it presently looks to be a form of polo red.

I was able to pull a picture off the UK 912 register, with the exterior color and matching interior, but it was not enough to go start with.

Thanks, if anyone has any more examples and a good source for the Red leatherette and who can do the panels and armrests properly. I would be very appreciative. Sumner

Thanks Everyone: Did Recaro sport seats come in Red?

Thank you everyone, please feel free to keep those pictures coming.

The next two related questions are:

    1. Did Recaro sports seats come in red or only in Henry Ford black.

    2. What was the cut off date for the the non-reclining Recaro sport seats noted on Dr. Johnson's book on page 66, how late in '66.

Wasn't optioned on my 911S, but just needed to ask...
