1973.5 911T CIS "Original Owner" Price Drop

    FOR SALE!!!

PLEASE - REPLIES OR QUESTIONS FROM INTERESTED PARTIES ONLY!

Completely stock CIS 1973.5 coupe in Factory Sepia Brown with tan interior. This car is totally complete and is numbers matching throughout.

Absolutely 100% a California Car. The car was purchased from Bob Smith in Hollywood, CA in '73 (FYI - car still has the original license plate frame from Bob Smith Hollywood). Car was purchased with rare factory upgrades - S Package gauges, super rare wheel well trim, fuchs, anti-sway bar. Still have the original sticker and manual.

Original paint except - Left rear quarter panel, rear bumper guards and rear apron were resprayed in Laquer about 20 years ago after it rolled out of the driveway and bumped into a neighbors car. The left rear panel required repaint. It was not replaced though. The front right quarter panel was also resprayed some time ago after an idiot technician put a scratch on the top of the panel when fixing the headlight bucket. ORIGINAL INTERIOR - (Headliner, dashboard, door panels, rear seat, carpet). Driver and passenger seats were reupholstered some years ago. It has a few minor door dings, but overall the body and paint on this car is superb. Only minimal surface rust in a couple of areas (near rear running light - left side) The front "horseshoe" underneath the front of the car shows some rust. The car has been garaged it's entire life in Torrance, CA.

The car has run on Synthetic Mobil 1 since '86 after complete engine rebuild by 911 Enterprise - Dusty Rhodes in Dallas, TX. Engine had a few upgrades during rebuild including Carrera Valve Covers, Carrera chain tensioner upgrade & late model oil pump.

Paint and body are in extremely good condition for a car this old. The car drives and handles as good now as the day it was purchased. Extremely strong and reliable car. Turn signals were upgraded to European style 20 years ago, but other than that, this car looks the same today as it did in '73. Original "never installed" spare tire still sits under the hood next to the original tool kit and jack. Trunk carpet is original too. The radio has been upgraded to an Eclipse, but I still have the original Blaupunkt. Newer Michelin Pilot Tires.

As you know, it is becoming more and more difficult to find original unmolested early 911's, and in my opinion this is one of the finest examples around.

FYI - Listing this car as original owner... However technically it's not. I purchased the car from my dad a couple years ago. He still lives 2 miles from me, and helps me with anything that comes up.

Thanks for the nice words guys. I've had a couple people look at it so far. A lot of nice comments, but not serious buyers yet. Maybe there are fewer sepia lovers than previously expected. READY TO START ACCEPTING REASONABLE OFFERS!

I have found that the majority of calls / lookers have been from guys who already have 3 - 5 early 911's. I'm sure they were looking to steal the thing from me so they can have the pleasure of owning it themselves. Oh well, I'm in no hurry...

Thanks. Yeah, it is still so fun to drive! I actually test drove an '88 Carrera a little while back, and I swear to you, it was so unresponsive and seemed kind of gutless. That's the fun with this car. Super reliable, and pretty darn quick. There is absolutely no sound that describes how perfect a noise this car makes when merging onto a freeway with everyone going 75 mph. Up to speed in no time. It sounds just right. Makes driving to work fun.
