    '68 911 for sale

    1968 911 for sale. Chassis # 11835600, engine # 901/14 15972. Original paint code # 68-6807 G sand beige. 2.0 liter with carbs, 901 5 speed gearbox. The car was painted white many years ago. Originally purchased new 10-26-1968 in Chicago. I have the original stamped service booklet, driver's manual, etc. Real decent driver, but needs restoration. Runs, shifts, stops, and handles well. Everything works and appears original with the exception of the exhaust, radio, and wheels. Nice straight body with good gaps. Some rust in the front pan inside the boot, but none underneath the car where the torsion bars mount. Rockers, floors, etc. appear to be solid. The car shows 85K miles but I have no idea if that is correct or not (odometer does work). I would love to store this car and get to it later, but I have too many early cars already and not enough room! REDUCED TO $9500 205-276-1918

    Update,

    I just spoke with the second owner of this car today. He is from Kentucky and owned the car from '90-'99. He sold the car to a gentleman from Indiana. The second owner informed me that the car's 2.0 liter motor was rebuilt and had S cams installed. He also told me that he was the one who changed the color to white from sand beige. It was painted in '96. The car has never been in an accident. It has 185K miles and is a 4 owner car. Price reduced to $9,500.
