OPEN HOUSE: Engine on a Dyno

Saturday, November 4th at Carobu http://carobu.com/, Scott and Dan of Scotts Independent, http://scottsind.com/, will have my rebuilt 2.4 S motor on a Dyno. ALL are welcome. If you have never seen a motor on a Dyno, this is your chance.

The motor is a complete rebuild from my '72 S Targa. The pistons are 2.2 S pistons for the increased compression. The rest of the motor has been machined, or is new. The MFI, and TB's have been rebuilt also.

Arrive approx. 0730. Testing will be 0800-1030, ending approx 12.

    Scott will be providing coffee/muffins/donuts.

As a side note, Lars and I will be leaving for Willow later in the afternoon. We plan on spending the night at the host hotel for Sunday's STS at Willow. Anyone else want to caravan?? Meet us at the hotel for dinner???

Hope to see whoever can make it to either event. It really should be a fun weekend.

Coffee and donuts usually means a show ... will there be fireworks?

Actually this sounds like a great time. Dyno days KICK ASS!!! A high compression 2.4S motor is an absolutely fabulous motor; you're going to be PLEASED AS PUNCH! Enjoy!!

At the Ford-PAG Cars and Coffee, Dan R. gave me the photos of the completed engine.

Nov. 4th is still the day the engine goes from the bench to the Dyno

    Exhausts on Dyno

An added twist to tuning the motor on the Dyno will be the swapping out of 7 different exhausts. We will have a pool to guess which exhaust provides the MOST h.p. The range will be from 185-220.

    Here are the photos:

missing is a OE Factory exhaust that has been "opened up" inside
