    Targa Rear Panel

    The rear panel (the one under the rear window) on my '72 S Targa is a bit mis-shapen because a PO had a pair of large (heavy) speakers mounted there. The interior of the car is leather and I intend to recover the panel due to the holes that were drilled there for the speakers. I would like to reshape or replace the plastic panel before I do.

    Can it be reshaped with a heat gun or somesuch? If not, are decent panels available?

    I have a nice rear deck panel, inside cover for targa bar, and rear side panels. All in black original vinyl w/o any cuts. I believe that these are from a 69. I don't know if they changed over the 69-73 span. Make me an offer at naoz@aol.com if interested. I can mail you pictures if you desire. Prefer not to break this assortment of early Targa inetrior panels.

    You can reshape the plastic with a heat gun. This is a classic problem with Targas.
