Hello: Try Bosch W5DC plugs they are cheap and work well. Or the originals are W3DPO which are a little too cold. Hope this helps. Thanks Eric

I don't remember the part # but mine had silver (silber) electrodes and were bloody expensive and that was 15 years ago.

My cars runs with Bosch w3cc. I have never tried any other. Are they correct for a 2.4S, or should I change to a hotter plug?

    I agree with Eric...

Switched to W5DC's from W3DPO's years ago......
They're very cheap and work exceptionly well...

I would say however, I change W5DC's about twice as often as I did with W3DPO's... which is not very often, and for the price of a W5DC ... who cares....

I also use the same plugs for the 2 to 4 times a year I run on the track...

    Hope this helps,

    Cheers,

Thank you, Chuck. But isn´t the w5dc a bit hot for a 2.4S?

Porsche list one plug for the T model and another for the E/S/RS models. Many suppliers list w5dc for the T and a slighty colder plug for the E/S/RS models. Opinions here seem to differ a bit; w4cs, w3cc og NGK B8ES are mentioned.

There are quite a bit on the subject on pelican:

I changed my w3cc plugs yesterday with similar new ones, but maybe next time I should consider going a bit hotter, to w4cs?

In the other current thread on ignition overhaul parts, Steve @ Rennsport recommends Bosch W4CS or NGK B7EV plugs. If your plugs are not getting fouled quickly with the colder heat range, then it probably doesn't matter, and you will get faster heat transfer with the colder plug. I am running the W5DC like Chuck, and looked for the colder #4 plug when I replaced them last, but they weren't as readily available as the 5s. I went to 3 parts stores and nobody stocked them.
