    coa rear spoiler on a T?

    I got my COA today and it says my car was delivery date 02/01/73, Dalmatian Blue, black leatherette.
    Optional equipment;
    US equipment, light metal wheels, Stabilizer bars front-rear, Manual antenna with speaker and noise suppression, comfort package, rear spoiler, tinted glass.

    Rear spoiler? A ducktail on a T? Was that an option?

    Maybe it was one of these?

    Mike,

    I think that's an error. The underside of the deck lid appears to be original paint from my memory, and the car has a front spoiler. The original kardex's for these cars are handwritten, and it's highly likely that they wrote rear spoiler instead of front spoiler. Errors like these are commonly brought up over on the 356 BBS.

    Regards, Eric

    Eric,
    Thanks by the way. When you say front spoiler do you mean S spoiler?

    Yes, that's correct.

    That's hilarious about the birthdate.

    This guy claims to have had a duck tail as a factory option on a 73.5T:

    Maybe my eyes are going but that spoiler looks like a poor aftermarket copy. Funny how the "paperwork can't be found". The rest of the car looks nice though I'm not a Sepia fan.

    You guys tell me...

    I just got a COA for a 73 1/2 for a 4 speaker stereo, did Porsche have such an option on 73.
    Thanks,
    Phil
