Ever hear of something called the Boston Engine Exchange?

If you have heard of this place, do they have a good reputation?

    Regards, Don

That sounds to me like a core rebuilder/exchange company. I have a very close friend who spent his career building dragster engines for a pro racer up here and he ended up working in a place that rebuilds cores. He says those engines are built to the absolute minimum standards and that they have in house guys that travel around cleaning up the shop screwups. Probably good enough for a pickup truck motor replacement but that's about it generally.

"Boston Bob" as he's known has a very good reputation in the world of watercooled flat 4 VW Vanagon engines. You can search the archives on Vanagon.com.
