    Wanted: SWB mat

I'm looking for a COUPE passenger-side rubber floormat from a SWB 911/912. It doesn't have to be perfect but it can't be completely rotten, either.

I am also looking for one rear rubber mat as well (not sure which side).

In order to get what I need I am willing to buy a complete set.

I have a passenger-side rubber mat from a Targa that I'm willing to trade if necessary.

    Thanks.

    Marco-

Good luck in your quest. I have been keeping an eye out for these for awhile, and they are rarely seen on the market, but come up occasionally on PP and FleaBay. Needless to say, 30+ years have taken their toll on many of the original ones.

If you are also considering new ones, I have heard that International Mercantile has some reproduction mats, but I'm not sure if there are rear ones available or only fronts. I sent for their catalog recently but haven't received it.

The last set I bought I got about a year ago. The problem I have is that the driver's side is a coupe mat and the passenger side is for a targa. Not a terrible dilemma but a PITA nonetheless.

    Check the 912 board.

I sold a nice set on the 912 board about a year and a half ago for $150-200 (Fornts only). They do pop up from time to time over there.

You might be able to have one of their members trace a pattern for you and cut a temporary set from the material they sell at Home Depot as "hall runner". It isn't as thick and the real stuff but, it would do until you have the real thing.

Thanks, Bill, but I've already been down that road when looking for other stuff.

Paul, I'll send you an e-mail tonight. Thanks.
