    Sports purpose harnesses

I've seen the Autoflug 4 pts. mainly on the 73s. Repa 4 pts on the earlier cars. Sabelt on some...

What if any harnesses did Porsche supply with the sports purpose cars?

I've got a set of NOS Autoflugs, would prefer the Repas because I think they look more correct for my 70. However, are they even out there? Did Repa produce them as aftermarket?

I'm also interested in how they were mounted. Did the period harnesses use the auto retract or just a bar type of mount?

OK, here is one of the pics from a recent thread.

Excellent thread Michael. Look forward to the feedback.
I have Sabelt 3 pt harnesses in my car. I did replace the yellow material with thick leather becuase I didn't think it appropriate for the interior. I like them but would prefer somthing more "air-craft".

Look on te site of Edmund Harris, there are some NOS harness for sale.
Repa, Autoflug some even with an indication on what car (so you can figure out the when used period)they were used.(but sit down before you read the price)
    I bought myself a NOS early 70 Schroth 4-point.
I have an old sales brochure from Matter on which they sell the Schroth harness I have. So now I now the reason why on my harness is printed "Matter".
I will try to post some pictures of it later.

OH yeah, I've cruised that site before. Ridiculous. Lots of neat parts but,$1000 for a 72/73 headrest? Didn't know my Scheels were worth 8k either. The NOS Repa 3 points he has are probably later 914 or VW issue judging by the stripe in the belts. Could be replacement parts but, I'd want to see the Porsche tags and the dates. The used Repa harnesses look promising and original. The used Autoflugs look promising as well. The new autoflugs? I'd shoot myself rather than pay 2k. $400 for reproduction Repa sew on patches?

Anyway, rant over. Back to the main ?. I'll read over my 70 Sport Purposes manual again but, I don't remember references to harnesses. Could be my memory (it was awhile back) or could be my missing page 11. That reminds me. Eric?

Know what you mean. I've got the original 5 pt Deist harnesses that the PO of my car used when he tracked back in 80's. I wouldn't hesitate to use them since they were obviously not a permanent fixture in the car. They are in really nice shape.

I keep changing my mind on what I'll end up using.
