Thread: Barnfind 64 link

    Barnfind 64 link

Edit: Sorry I had to delete the link.

I received a mail that stated that the person owning the site with references to some 1964 911's, did not have permission to display these cars and that there was some legal dispute. I do not want to get involved in someone else’s problems. I am sorry if I caused any problems for the owners of these cars, but I had no idea. I found the site while searching for some parts using Google.

Don't feel bad...I posted it some time ago and didn't know that I had stepped on a land mine.

what search terms did you use to find the link?

I am sorry Cabrachian that I cant display what terms I used.

I was just searching for some parts for a friend in the Norwegian Porsche Club. Revealing the search terms would be almost the same as posting the link? But maybe you can get it if you contact the Early 911 Porsche 232 Registry, that has the rights to the information on these great cars? I don’t know the "law" on this.

    Hello Cabrachian,

I think it was Porsche either 901 # 300170 or Porsche 901 # 300156. You might give those numbers a try using google (I am afraid now to try it myself ..).

By the way there were apparently only 232 made so in the worst case try Porsche 300001, Porsche 300002, etc.

    Hi Eade

Well the challenge was about a guy that has "stolen" the info that The 232 Registry has used years to collect on the 1964 911's. He has displayed all this info on these cars, about owners, locations and pictures on his site. If I understand correctly there has been issued a court ban that says he is not allowed to make this info public. You can probably get the info from your club(232 Registry) since you are member.

As 72targa said, this thing is like stepping on a landmine.

    Best
