SALE PENDING: Pair of leather Recarro sport seats

THANKS FOR ALL THE INTEREST EVERYONE - NOW SOLD

When my RS was being repainted (about four years ago?) I really wanted leather Recarro's - so I bought these from someone in Germany - they came without 'consoles' or frames so I sourced a pair of them. Later managed to find the correct original leather headrests.

About a month ago John (Zithlord) explained to me the Carrera horn push on the first 500 cars which is still fitted to my car - it dawned on me how original my interior is and how I really should put the original seats back in

Sooooo - I don't need these anymore! They have a lovely patina to them and are in superb condition - both consoles / frames have been restored and look great.

PM me if you're interested - located in the UK but can easily ship to the Europe or US if you can cope with the bad $ to £ rate at the moment

And here they are in my RS:

    Thanks for looking

    Hi Philip

Very very nice, but what are the original seats you are putting back inn? (sorry for invading your sales tread)

The vinyl and cord 409's - they just look 'right' - my car wasn't specified with leather so while the seats looked fabulous, something just nagged at me everytime I got in saying "return her to original...."

She's completely original apart from the paint job (which we took a long time to get right and used Glasurit etc) having had a later type front axle cross member (now being sorted) and a plastic oil tank (also being replaced with the correct steel one) - UK cars suffer with the copious amount of salt put down as soon as the temperature gets below 5 degrees C!

She's at AutoFarm having Elephant Racing bushes and a correct front axle cross member fitted - plus the annual spa treatment (major service and manicure) - when she's back on Sunday I'll try and take a photo with the original seats which are now back in.

It's made of a lightweight plastic, rather than metal - quite flimsy and didn't last very well, hence being replaced on the later cars with the standard metal one

That's what I love about the Esses / DDK forums - I learn something everyday

    Philip,

Our cars were made just days apart from each other. The Carrera horn button is still with my car also but the left side of the part was cracked. Fortunately I was able to repair it with epoxy but have left it off the car for now. I don't want to break it again.

Could you send me photos of your car for my data base? It looks great in the background of the photos above. Thanks. fryardds@csinet.net

Mine is also cracked on the left hand side only a small one and it was repaired long ago - not perfect but part of her history

I've posted a couple here for the board - the 'off road' ride height is being adjusted at AutoFarm as I write - any chance of some of yours?
