Thumbs up Factory 911S Safari for sale in Germany

    http://www.mirbach.de/main.asp?main=...rung=exclusive

Just happened to find this on a dealers website, many Porsches for sale, RS, many 356 Carraras...
    Nice fotos even...
But this one is cool, including the correct white line tires...
I am sure the price is steep...

    Enjoy...

Holy Sh!t!! Nice find Thorsten. Ya gotta love those Sears Radial whitewalls (although it looks like they used Semperits on the restoration). I just posted a pic of that car in action in the 'Random Race Car' thread .....

Curt, did you know that all of the Sears radials of that period were actually produced for them by Michelin?

Yeah, that (early 70's) was the time when we in the US were making the switch from bias-ply to radials. I remember reading and hearing people doubt the safety of radials due to their 'strange' construction and some old-timers refused to try them ....

Yike$! So Frank, you're returning the car to it's Safari configuration right. That will be the first car I'll be looking for at Rennsport! I'm very interested to see the modifications needed to raise the suspension that high.
