Are the early ones brass? I thought they were all chrome? I have a set of the chrome ones for 40's if that helps.

    Velocity stacks

    Hi Rick,

    Thanks for reply.
I don't know if brass or chrome is correct.
Just saw some brass ones on a pair of 40's for sale on the forum right now, and liked the look of them
In answer to teh obvious next question, no I don't need all the carbs just the stacks, so I won't be buying the ones in the ad!

Hello: The stacks are actually steel that are plated. The gold cad(zinc) plating wears off over time then they rust. The first stacks were steel then plastic then back to steel. They also have stainless ones and chrome as well. I have also seen some aluminum ones that were very nice but pricey. How many do you need? I have some singles of different types. Thanks Eric

    Stacks

    Eric,
    I need all 6
Also, I'm waiting to recieve in the post a pair of metal Rainshields that fit over the stacks.
Very grateful to Bob Tilton who helped me to source them via this forum(see thread 'teaballs')
Do you know what height stacks I'm going to need to fit them under the shield, baring in mind they will have 1/2 a 'Peet's' teaball on top of them also?
I think I've seen them in 2.75", 4" and I already know 6" will be way too high

    Thanks all

Hello: The tea screens will let sand and other small dirt in the engine. They look cool but they are tuff on the pistons and cylinders. The stock height is around 2 3/4 or so any higher the covers will hit the deck lid or ac condencer. Thanks Eric
