    911 radio repair

The original radio in my 1966 911 needs to be repaired. Can anyone recommend a shop, or person in California?

    radio repair

I can highly recommend Classic Car Radio Service in Woodacre CA. They restored the Blaupunkt out of my 64 356. They updated all the electronics and restored it cosmetically. The are expensive (who isn't), I spent $600, but they warranty the job for 5 years. Phone # is 415-488-4596, or www.classicradio.com Speak to Dan Healy, very nice guy.

I took my Blaupunkt Frankfurt to Walter Odemer in Burbank last year. He did a nice job and it wasn't too terribly expensive.

    German Auto Radio Repair

I brought my Blaupunkt Frankfurt to Hernan Acosta for repair.

He repaired it quickly for a reasonable amount. I think his warranty was 1 year.

I've used http://www.radiomanrepair.com/ w/ complete satisfaction. Turn around was quick (less than a week) and relatively inexpensive.

I tried to use Classic Car Radio Service as they are somewhat local to me, but they sat on my radio for 2 months. After no word of any progress or possible schedule, I had them return my radio. Also, 4X's more expensive than radiomanrepair.com if that is any concern.

    FWIW.

Hernan Acosta @ Germany Auto Radio Repair is the man! Super nice guy, great pride in his work. No wonder he does all of Jay Leno's stuff....reasonable prices as well. Did a fantastic job on a supposedly "unrepairable" Blaupunkt Frankfurt 'x' series...............
