    Pictures of Original Fender/undercarriage finish?

I am in the middle of, what started as a cosmetic restoration, of a 73E. It is turning into a complete, suspension off, engine out(maybe), undercarriage restoration. I am looking for pictures of factory finish undercarriage. I know 73 is body color underneath, what i am looking for is texture, a bit over the top I admit. Thanks for your help-Bill

    Bill,
Do a search for correct undercoating color. I asked the same question about a 73 and got some good postings.

    Cool

    Bill:

Here are a few shots of mine; can someone confirm that this is the correct texture?

Man, I gotta get up there and dust off those horns!

    Mike:

I threw that last photo of the undercarriage in as inspiration for Bill.

Not really black, more of a medium grey, pretty much like the photo shows it.
