FACTORY restoration photos of a '70 Prototype

Saw this thread on Pelican. The Factory is restoring a Protoype of a real 4 passenger 911.
LOTS of people would love to say the Factory restored their 911

certainly would add to the resale but the pictures certainly don't show a concours car. I see small details missing that this board would pick apart

I toured the factory's restoration shop a couple years ago and it's very impressive. Where we put ultimate value in replicating the most minute details of originality in this country, I have found European restorations to put a higher value on functionality.

I have seing this car in person, i think i wrote about it a few months ago, its a beutiful machine, that can be seen in 2007 at the new museum, its one of two cars that are identical, the other onw is green, resides in austria, so what they told me , porsche A G , but yes, speaking with many old timmers from porsche back then, they say that they where intrested in the functunanility aspect, and that most times they did not think if a certain screw went one way or another, they just wanted to finish a job well done a go home , Porsche AG even says that in the US they have taken the restorations to another galaxy, , but i would love to have just one of my cars restored by them, but a simple restoration, and anyone can have their car restored by porsche will cost about 150 K euros and up, once againg i was told this by Mr Noack head man
    2 the classic dep.
I am going up there on tuesday and will see how resto is going along
