Carrera RS #308 is for sale on eBay in FR. I'm partial to orange with gold lettering but I'm not to sure about the orange with green look.

does anyone know anything about this car?
Brain,
Love your tangerine and gold look, but the tangerine with green? No way, not in my garage! Just kidding... Any RS is welcome in my garage.

The RS didn't meet reserve, the high bid was 120K Euro (approx. $157K USD).
I recieved some additional photos from the seller and this looks like a pretty nice car with just a few minor details to correct, but haven't seen it in person though. I'll post some of them for the 'record' later this evening.
Scott,
I hear that something fun is possibly headed for your garage. Send photos if it does.

This RS has been on (french) ebay 3 or 4 times in the past couple of months - each time with a slightly lower reserve price.
I was in touch with the seller about a month ago & recieved a further selection of pictures - it does look a nice car & may well sell now that it's been advertised on the US ebay site.

A sample of the additional photos of the RS.
This shot of trunk looks exactly like mine does, with the thin, overspray of paint and black paint over the VIN stamp. This part of the trunk has not been repainted but I wish there was more showing in the photo though.

what, no Shell Oil sticker I would knock off at least 10,000 Euro for that. And Amco bars and after market radio, thats another 20,000 Euro. I could go on and on.

Andy,
That is weird. One looks like the French relisting has the same photos and description, the other is with different photos and not much detail at all. I notice that the French seller lists the car with 87,000 km and the Italian has 89,000 km.
