Thread: Which Orange ?

    Which Orange ?

As far as colors are concerned, I've heard the name Tangerine, Blut Orange and Signal Orange. Is there a difference?

My Kardex states Tangerine is the original color of my '69. The car is spending the better part of December in the body shop and It has two different shades of orange already so I want to make sure we get the right paint code for it.

Signal orange is definitely a different color than tangerine. I think blut (blood) orange may be the same as tangerine. I'd be very interested in knowing - I have a tangerine car.

This is another good site although colors might appear different on screen:

Tangerine is a citrus fruit (originally from Tanger/Morocco)..its size between an orange and a mandarine..and has a sligthly darker skin than a orange..)

Blood Orange and Tangerine #018 are the same. Signal Orange is somewhat lighter.

Definitely not Signal orange on any body panel. Must be a bad match. Anyway, the shop is doin the entire car so no mismatch.
