Thread: Need MFI E heads

    Need MFI E heads

Well, I would take S but E is what is needed. Or T's to open up. I intend to rebuild, so the heads don't have to be complete. Some usable valves would be a bonus.

For those of you that don't have any of these, what do they sell for on an average basis?

Hello: What type of E heads do you need? Are they 2.0,2.2,2.4? Thanks Eric

Jon and Eric, I need 2.2 heads. I didn't know there was a difference and I didn't think the 2.0 came in an "E" version. I have some T heads that were going to be ported, but we're rethinking that process. These are for a friend of pwd72S that lives overseas.

I wish I could find that chart that tells the port sizes of all the MFI heads.

Zeke- Here is some quick info on port sizes on T and E heads that I found listed in the back of Wayne Dempsey's Porsche 911 Engines Book.

    T and E Quick info

    1969
    T and E heads are 32/32 in/ext ports—valves 42/38
    1970
    “Same”----But bigger valves 46/40
    1971
    “Same”
    1972--------T-Factory (NON-USA-T's) NON-MFI---Carbed head ports are 30/30 ports
    “Same”
    1973
    “Same”
The S heads for each year varies. Hope this helps.

Hello: Let me check the shed for the heads you want. Do you need them redone or just complete? I'm finishing up the last set of heads today. Let me know. Thanks Eric
