    Resoration manual or reference book?

Recently purchased '67S restoration project, and have heard of Brett Johnson's Guide to Authenticity. Is this a 'How-to" resoration resource? Is there other must have material? Thanks

The Johnson book is good to have, but not a "how to" manual, rather pictures of what the original car looked like and correct parts and markings. But by no means is it exhaustive since it covers many years and can't possibly have every picture of every part, for every car. Well, you get the idea. The Lindsay Porter Guide to Purchase and DIY Restoration is a more of a "how to book" and I use it from time to time. But once again, it doesn't cover everything. A good factory manual, coupled with the above mentioned books would get you started and if you run into a head scratcher, this board is full of great guys that are more than willing to help. Just ask. Good luck Allan
