Paper and memorabilia @ the Taj

Last winter I spent several nights at the Taj photographing the extensive collection of factory brochures and memorabilia. A small selection of the collection is now displayed on the site.

Hopefully we will see more as the site continues to be updated. Enjoy

Great Stuff! Any one know the date of the accessories catalog with the brown cover? I have the one with the silver foil cover. It has to be 1969 although there is no date inside. Just a printing number and "Printed in the USA" Interestingly there are quite a few options not listed. What stands out is fog lights and driving lights and sport seats. Knowing the Halogens weren't legal for the US, I still expected the US fogs to be listed. Is the brown cover catalog more extensive?

Just saw a video segment featuring the Taj on My Classic Car, that show with the handlebar-mustache guy Dennis Gage. Very cool, though for me not near enough attention paid to the "non-custom" cars in the collection! That said, when they lifted the lid on the 356 wagon to show a four cam motor... let's just say my scepticism evaporated. The S with the Talbots on the fenders took my breath away. I'd love to see the collection in person, Mr. Dixon seems like a great enthusiast and very nice guy.
