    American Racing Wheels

Need some advice and help, thinking about American Racing wheels for my car as a nice addition for the 'look' only. Or are they the needle in the haystack that I fear they might be!

Did AR make a 15 x 6 wheel with the correct offset and pattern?
    What are they worth?
How good are the wheels to race on?
Does anyone have some they would part with at a reasonable market price?

Be interested to hear any feedback.

    Thanks
    Alex Webster

Yep, they made a 15X6 mag wheel that will fit. They are hard to find. And you need to check them for cracks.

    Alex,

I think we are taking chances racing on 20-40 year old wheels. Take in consideration how how sticky even a steet tire is today. Metallurgy has come along way since then too. The downside is we have very few options available to us in new wheels. I'm totaly guilty of not following my own advice as I'm racing on 30 year old Fuchs and ATS cookie cutters.

    What are our options?

    Silly isn't it!

I too am like you and wonder why we race on 30 year old wheels. Even for street use the American Racing wheels like the ones on the Trans-Am car on the other thread on this board looked great.

Just have a want to have a set to put on the car. On a white car like mine in a dark gray center (not American spelling for you guys!) would look great!

The aluminum versions are 15x7. Cornpanzer may have a set of magnesiums for sale (I think they are 5.5, not 6). These are the alum 7's:

i thought i'd revive this thread after chatting to alex this morning.

AR list new 15x6 torg thrusts on their website. does anyone know if you can get 5x130 bolt spacing and the correct offset?
