Tom; how much for the "Europa"? Do you know if there is a Euro and a US model? If so witch is this?

Both are US Radios. Note the push buttons.

    $250 for the Europa
    $400 for the Grand Prix

    Both for $600.

    Best,

I don't have that kind of silver face plate, but the Grand Prix radio is exactly like the one in my '73E. Except Tom's probably works!

And what about the knobs? Are yours w/ or w/o the silver trim?

    How kind of you, Tom...

    Best,

    Tom

PS: The face plate is not permanent. The radio could be used with a dash fascia cut to the correct size. OR, use this one in case of a BIG HOLE.

I agree that it looks very cool compared to the frankfurt. The original mexico was a very hip radio for look and design. Problem here is that it was not offered for my 1970 S and I am, in most ways, a stock guy. That said, I would love to see a modern version of the Frankfurt come out. Blaupunkt must stay with the original design and look or most of the fun here is lost. I would buy a few in a heartbeat.

There is a German company that I recently purchased a cable that will allow me to use my ipod in an old Frankfurt. One plug (I think an rca jack ) goes to the frankfurt and the other to the ipod. It was not that much money and it works. I keep the wire installed to the rear of the radio at all time and sleeved it under the dash. You do not see it, unless I pull it out to install to the ipod. I put a small piece of velcro to the radio and the other piece of velcro to the rubber section of the tunnel carpet (it leaves no marks or glue when removed) area. The wire pulls down and plugs to the stationary ipod and I am off to a trip with Led Zep. Good product, that works well and does not require large dollars or changes in radios.
