My mom just leaked that she got it for me. I've noticed since I've given her grandkids that my presents are better.

Bill, thats awesome! making grand kids is a great pastime, and giving them to mom in exchange, even better! Hope the SO is up to it! Keep plugging!!
Practice makes perfect... Now that I have 3 of them, it's tougher to convince her it's procreational and not recreational.
Damon!!!! How's it been going?! I still owe you a bottle of something IIRC.
I was making decent progress up to about 3 months ago and then I hit a wall. I'm getting ready to fire the welder back up in a week or so--maybe Saturday if I'm lucky. I've decided to give up on using an OEM dash and purchase one of your lovely f/g jobs. Can you shoot me info/price?

The format and quality of the photos causes a Pavlovian reaction! Extremely impressive book, but I would love to have a companion to it that outlines each car's history and significance, that would be icing!
David Bull Publishing has a great catalog of relevant car books, not many are bargains, but each is worth the $$.

Some kind of happiness is measured out in miles
OK, who has purchased the book that also attended the event? I've been holding off on this book because I was there and took 400+ photos myself (none of the caliber of Zwart's of course!). Is it worth buying anyway?
I did RRII (took 1,000 pictures) and got the book for Christmas.
It's a great book and you'll be pleased with it. There are a few typos and the chassis #/ model designation formatting is a little strange but these flaws don't detract from the photography or the quality of the book.
Don't pay $150, you can find it cheaper elsewhere.
Curt, as you know, I was also at RRII and wasn't sure if I'd buy the book for the same reason. Glad I didn't because a neighbor dropped by and GAVE me a copy! Zwart is one of his clients and sent him a copy, he said I'd appreciate it much more that he would... which is absolutely correct! It's an unusual format and not everyone's cup of tea, but the rendering of the cars is unlike any other book I've seen. The studio lighting, static placement, large format and black background create a mood and setting that focuses on the detail and artistry of the cars - emphasizing the sculptural beauty before that killer instinct displayed in so many action photos. It literally is seeing the cars in a whole new light - I've noticed things I've never really seen before. I give it a thumbs up!
