There is a lot of noise on this car at both Pelican and Rennlist from a previous owner and purported heavy misrepresentation of the condition , .....

The car is also listed on ebay.

Cool The Car Advertsed As A Solid Driver... Guy Wants To Make $$$.. Good For Him..

I just read both posts and all that this car is advertised as being is a straight and solid driver..

If the current seller bought the car for $9,500 put money in it ( a little or a lot) and is trying to make a profit where is the harm in that?

Are you recomending that he buy the car, fix it up and sell it for exactly what he has in?

I bought a running 1971 911S with sport seats last year for $4,500 that had been advertised for over a month in the newspaper.. I figured there was no need to call because the car would be gone it seconds. But after seeing it advertised again two weeks later I finally called and was amazed that no one else stepped up to buy the car.. The car looked crappy but was very solid!

I am restoring the can and if you think I should sell it for what I am in it.. I think not..

Exec: If referring to my post, nothing wrong with making money !!! The reason for my post was:

    1. To show that a lot of cars sold at this board shows up soon afterwards being sold for 30%-100% increase in price. To me that means that a lot of bargains is being made, and for me looking for a second car, this is the place to look !! I have also seen that some of the good cars sold hear end up at dealers in Europe with a huge increase in price. Personaly I think it is better that some enthusiast gets the deal, but thats life.

    2. I wondered if members would care to comment if improvements had been made to that car that made this a good or bad buy. Reading the posts at Rennlist gave me the answer to that; glass fiber floors........

BTW have you sold the Ivory S?

    Exec,

No harm in that, no harm in making money on it even if he did not add anything to it. Its the way markets operate but the alleged misrepresentation of material facts is a problem.

In the end price is the value that a party places on an item which coincides with the amount that a seller is willing to part with such an item.

Again the problem is that value is attached to condition or perceived condition and misrepresentation is not a part of such equation. Furthermore, if its willful misrepresentation then you have another can of legal worms...

Like the saying goes, everything is for sale its just a matter on agreeing on a price....

Beautiful green 911 by the way !

By the way, I do not know the car nor either party on the transactions or the poster of comments, just wanted to bring this up in case someone is looking at the car.

I (regretfully) know about misrepresented cars (and botched PPI's...).

Those are knock off Mahle's on the car. What exactly is wrong with this car. I am in the market for an SWB car and just missed out on a pretty good one today. The price seems right and it appears to be pretty straight. I know, pictures lie and so do sellers, but this one looks pretty good.

    Somebody stop me...
