What do you guys think of this car? There seems to be some recent black paint spray under the car, might this paint cover up something or is it just for the cosmetics?

Buy now at $20,000.00 and it needs a broom stick to hold the trunklid up. I'am sure that the seller would include a new set of gas shocks at that price.
Sorry I couldn't control myself.

Actually the broom stick thing is pretty common. Most of my cars, even the best of them, use them. The new shocks do not seem to work very well. After replacing a couple of sets and seeing the hood droop I gave up. Not fun to have it fall on the back of your head. So it's a broom stick. You get used to it after a bump or two.

Tom some one told me that theres is a heavy duty schock for the hoods, have not being able to find them, do you know or anyone knows anything about this? and you are right the best cars of mine have a stick too, tired of the bumps on the head.
You can e.g. order them at www.mittelmotor.de in Germany.

Thanks, i have never asked them, will do in two weeks, they will be closed until the 2.
thanks
There are heavy duty hood shocks, called "lifetime shocks", that do seem to be stronger. However, I mounted them on my '73 S Coupe and they pushed up so hard that they distorted the otherwise excellent hood gap. The gap returned to normal after installation of "normal" shocks.
I have the heavy duty ones on my '72 S Targa though and they work fine on it.
Cheers,
John
