    WTB 911 E badge

I'm looking to purchase a very nice or better yet an NOS gold 911E decklid badge for my 1971 restoration. I have the original emblem but it has faded to silver. Mine is in great shape just the wrong color. Anyone have one to sell or trade?
If one doesn't turn up, can someone recommend a place to get mine replated to match the original gold color? Thanks in advance.

    metal plating

I took my 911S badge to Anobrite in Burbank CA for re plating in gold . Lucky I had a bunch of other stuff to plate because the min. price is $300 for any work done. Regards Chris Early S reg.#205

Thanks for the tip Chris. I've used them to restore trim in the past but did not know they did gold. $300 would be a bit steep for 1 badge. I guess I'll either post to see if others need some done as a group or keep looking for NOS. Best regards.

The badges are anodised, it should cost no more than a few $$ to get it re-done

Sounds like restoration is your only option. In all my catalog cruising, I've never seen gold 911E badges, repro or otherwise. Who knew they were so rare? I always thought the S appearance package (gold script, wide bumper trim, aluminum rockers) was more common on the E than not.

Good luck in your quest, let us know which way it goes.
