    Apollo Moon Landings

Panoramas.dk has a really cool page for Apollo fans:

    http://www.panoramas.dk/fullscreen3/f29.html#Apollo-11

Go to the link and click on one of the missions on the right side. You can then use your mouse to pan around 360 deg. These images were originally shot with a Hasselblad mounted on the front of the suit and then recently linked together digitally. Some have sound.

    Speedmaster

I still have mine.Bought it in Hong Kong on R&R for $47 in 1968 in the Navy Exchange. Still keeps great time.We were then to be later designated the recovery vehicle for Apollo 13 landing which had to make a South sea landing.Pretty heady stuff then. Tom

We never went to the moon. It's all a great big lie.

    Cool link. Thanks!

    shuttle launch

I was 70 miles away from the last launch and it was still awesome. At first we thought it was the moon behind a cloud. We could hear it as well from that distance.Pics are from Rick in Memphis.http://www.thehoytfamily.com/shuttle/

I was a kid in grade school when all of that was happening. They used to roll black & white TV's into the classroom for each and every launch - it was that big a deal back then. This link has some incredible photos:

It was all rather primitive when you look back at it - these guys were some real cowboys.

I also like this Hasselblad link. The 1st Hasselblad camera in space was bought by Wally Schirra off the shelf at a friggin' Houston camera store!!

    links

Good links Curt.Apollo history one is great to go through to recall names of the Guys who were putting it all on the line.A note on the watch! It was chosen because it was mechanical winding,as a self winding watch wouldn`t work because of the lack of gravity. But I`m sure all you smart guys here knew that.

Great watch! Here is my 1969 pre-moon Speedy. Wear it nearly every day and it keeps great time.
