That 356 is cool. And it has A/C ... simply ridiculous.

Putting a 2.7 w/Webers in a roadster required some innovation - w/a swing axle trans nonetheless - but a shoehorning in a turbo motor had to have been a plumbing/packaging nightmare. Then add in the A/C ... sheesh, my head hurts.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's super cool. My only question is how much of the original car is left?

That 356 is one of the hottest cars I've seen in a while. And it really almost looks stock. I'd lose the Fuchs though and have a set of deep 7 steel wheels made for the car to add to the camouflage.
Anyone know the weight? I have to believe that car would probably smoke anything out there. Just imagine what a 911 Turbo weighs. Then reduce 1/3 of its weight, shorten the gears and keep the same power. The only wildcard would be the aerodynamics. What does a bathtub feel like doing 0-60 in 4 seconds, and wound out at 160mph.
I really want this car or at least a day driving it someplace fun...

I don't know, Garth, it seems to me another very limiting factor would be tire size, especially in acceleration and cornering. Big HP and small tires do not inspire confidence at speed, and require a very delicate touch. Then there is the braking issue...

Thanks Ray. I'll be out in SoCal in a couple weeks, maybe I'll have time to swing by myself. Keep me updated if you run into them, though.

904-002 was advertised for sale in Europe last year. Don't know if it sold.
