    FS: 1973 911 Sales Brochure

    Guys,
This came with the recent purchase of my 1973 911T. However, the file that came with my car included two copies of the same brochure, both in excellent condition.
Wondering if anyone might be interested in buying one for their 73 911. If so, it feel free to PM an offer.
The brochure has two sides and folds in two. First page has a nice shot of an aubergine 911 coupe and a spec table for all three models (T,E,S). Inside there are numerouspictures of the interior, engine, dash and trunk.
Nice pic'sto have for anyone looking to restore their car to original factory detail.
I would post an ask price but I have no idea what if anything its worth.
    Thanks.

    Hi 71T,
    Your comments appreciated.
I have had two people PM me already asking me to name a price for the brochure. If these often pop up on EBay as you have posted, what do they sell for? As I mentioned in my post, I am only trying to sell it at a fair market price.
In Switzerland where you live (and I used to live) fair market could be CHF500 and a Box of chocolate from Spruengli

    Hi,
I do see this brochure regulary on ebay, but to be honest, not very often in english...its maybe a more rare item in english/US.
I hope other members can join in to guess its value.

I just bought one in french from a swiss vendor for $25..on ebay.germany they are around $50...maybe market/language demand is different.
As for your comments about Switzerland, yes, i do know Sprüngli, of course....

One the back page of the brochure is a group of 911s. The orange coupe on the far left has flaired rear fenders. Is that one a Carrera? It does not have any other body work features that would identify it as a Carrera. There are not specs for a Carrera published in the brochure.

I think its the prototype 2.7litre becoming soon marketed as the 73RS.
    (but i'm not 100% shure)

Often photos of Porsche brochures have been taken/printed early in the year to be ready in sept for the
    new model year.
(The 70US "A love story" brochure shows 69models, the 72US brochure shows a photo-retouched 71 2,2litre on its cover: blacked out motor grill and oil filler lid as for a 72 2.4litre)

    Doug,
You are right about the 4th car in the line-up(the orange one). It definitely looks to have rear wheel flares. Here's something even more interesting. The pictures of the car used to take the interior in one of the brochures is red, while the other is chartreuse. But the interior pic is the exact same excpt the outside color of the car. All other pictures are the exact same.
This made me think of somethin. A few months ago someone posted a message about many dealers trying to talk their clients out of ordering their cars in chartreuse - unless they had actually seen it in person. Apparently many people cancelled their orders when they actually saw the color in person. Maybe due to the poor response to the chartreuse color, Porsche's marketing dept decided to change the brochure at some point during 1973 so that a red car was used instead. What other reason could there be?
By the way, I like chartreuse and I have seen it up close.
