    It isn't always about speed. Alright, which do you want to drive...

    2007 C6 Corvette
    or
    1964 Ferrari GTO

    The Vette is faster, but the Ferrari is a drivers car. The limits are lower and you know its you, not the car or equipment that's responsible for the speed. You could substitute a Bizzarinni for the Ferrari instead.

    Well I think Mark Donohue once said there is no such thing as too much horsepower but this only applies to gifted drivers on a race track. I had a hot rodded 930, you stuck your foot into it for a couple of gears and you were into triple digits, seemed silly to me so I sold it. The power was great for passing but not near as much fun to drive as an 911.

    The venerable UK magazine CAR (IMHO the second best auto mag in the world--EVO being the best) agrees with you. See the 911 issue which should still be on newsstands. Awesome issue for guys like us.

    I get EVO, and I think it is the greatest periodical available for sports automotive info. And they love Porsche products. I have the CAR issue on 911s and it is a great mag, too. The OCTAIN issue is good as well this month. Lots of good reading.
