    Clear Bra / Expel

I know these products are available for newer cars, but does anyone have any experience with applying a clear bra type film to the front (especially the hood) of an older 911.

    Hints, venders names etc appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

I called Invica Shield a while back and they don't have anything for a longhood.

Mr. Kenik, after my repaint I had my car's nose and splitter done in Bellevue (2 blocks behind Bellevue BMW) by Stongard http://www.stongard.com/ They had the correct templates for longhoods and I am just a little upset that you didn't notice it on the car on our run to Santa Rosa .

I did plenty of research to make sure it would not yellow, they had the correct cuts, and ease of removal. They met my expectations and have a great warranty. One word though, I have had 3 hits which have pierced the product and nicked the paint. 3 out of how many I can't tell you, but I have 3500 miles with the product on backroads and interstates (mosty trying to keep up with hot shoes like you). I have the super heavy duty grade stuff on my headlights and fogs with no chips. (You probably didn't care to notice those either )

Be sure you get the optional long piece for the hood. The shorty is too short. Monty has it on his silver '72. Let me know if you have questions (If I am still talking to you )

Kenik, I only kid you about your observational abilities on the nearly invisible. I am just glad you don't work for the CDC

Thanks, I sent them an e-mail...Will see if they have a dealer / installer on the east coast or will sell me the pre-cut product.

    Thanks again

I would be interested in knowing who handles this on the east coast as well.
