    Porsche scale models

I ran across this site that had a bunch of early 911 race car models.

If you scrolled down and saw the RS Carrera's in 16 fabulous color combinations you may be disappointed to learn that if you drill down deep enough on the Miniwerks site you'll find that they are 1/43 scale and 'RS priced' at $225 each! That's right, 1/43 scale & $225. Ouch!

Now, they do go on to say they are limited to just 10 of each color so you better act fast!

These are handbuilt resin models, not mass-produced diecast. +$200 is a lot, but is the going rate for handbuilts. There are many, many hours that go into each model. I've got a few and the level of detail is stunning. Consider them automotive jewelry.

And I felt a little childish picking up the Exoto 1/18 scale stuff at about $250.00 a car .

$250? Jeez, that would have made a 10% downpayment on some Cibie hood lights!

Nice 908's!! I did a painting on those 908's a few years back. I will include a picture. You can purchase a signed giclee print from my studio for $250.00 from the original. I sell my originals in my studio in NYC. I specialize in Vintage Motorsport. I also take private comissions(majority of my work).

**this painting is oil/wood panel 20"X14" 'Gulf 908's'

How else ya gonna get to own a 934 935 RSR? let alone the whole Moritz Jagsrmister Team or a Sunoco 917. Started picking them up about 4 years ago. Before the big time need for hard parts on the 73.

Still need a set of steel wheels and some soft torsion bars before I need hood lights eh Curt .

Spark Models have some interesting Porsche models coming out soon. These are mass-produced, high-detail resin models. They're very nice and in 1:43 scale. Generally around $40-$50US.
