What a great time we had over the weekend. Thanks for posting the pics Chuck, and as usual Chuck was putting on the clinic all day long. There was a session late in the day where the difference between his fast lap and the slow lap was 7/10ths of 1 second. That's consistency!!!!! AWESOME!!!
Lars and I showed up early Sat morning to very funky (very cold) weather. We were expecting it to get to the 60's but never managed to find anything over 45...BRRRRRRRRRRR. As we soon learned though, the wet cold track gave us an amazing opportunity to learn and practice car control. The throttle is your friend. What a cool and enlightening experience. We completed our classroom day Sat. and set to wonder if we would run Sunday at all. The rain was coming down and the following day was in Jeapordy.
AH SUNDAY MORNING. Fog, and moisture, but no real sign of Rain. We arrived to find a slick track and a bunch of eager drivers. The game was on. STS #1 2007. The track driied up after the first session so all bets were on. Fantastic day. Both Lars and I drove well, learned a ton and managed to win our respective classes. Lars in HS and me in KI. We also both managed our personal best times in the mid 1:30's. Very pleasing although I know there are a few more seconds out there. And Chuck.........posted his personal best in the very low 1:30's.................Awesome driving. Looking forward to next time when I'm sure Sandy I will make an appearance along Jim Planet and many of our other new found friends. Till next time.........

Good to read/see everyone had a great time at Streets. Fast times too. Well done.
As for me, my New Mexico excursion turned into something great when I didn't have to work on Sunday but instead snuck away to ski Taos which ROCKED!
See you guys next time!
