    One of our own...Rob Dickinson

Those of you PacWesters who braved the ice to come out for the R Gruppe's own Rob Dickinson for his show in Seattle were treated to a fantastic performance. Chris Genau took some killer photos and has asked me to post them for you guys to see. If you get an opportunity to see Rob play, take advantage. It sounds cliche, but he really did gain some new fans last night.

Dang, I'm sorry I missed that. I had every intention of being there. The ice on the roads up here in Lynnwood made me think twice about heading out after dark, however. It sounds like you guys had a good time.

Fantastic time. Great chatting with Rob. Even bought a CD and Sara got a T-shirt. We definately need to have more get togethers like this!

Rob puts on a very good show. The wife and I saw him in San Francisco late last year at Cafe du Nord. Always enjoy chatting with him at the car shows.

I'll second what Chris said. Fun night and great performance from Rob. I'd never heard him play before, or his previous band, Catherine Wheel, and was blown away by the concert. Full, solo acoustic set. To get an idea of what you missed, check out his website which has his new album playing.

We definitely need to do more events like this.

Oh yah, and as a trivia tidbit, you can see his early 911 hotrod in the background on the back cover of his new album Fresh Wine for Horses.

You know, as much as Rob apologized for his cold affecting his voice, I'd still be interested to hear if last night's show was recorded. The acoustic set was fantastic.
