67 dash, where to obtain a correct example?

I have searched forums, E-Bay etc. What do folk's do when restoring to get a correct, crack free pre 69 dash? I see recovered with the speaker location covered over, late model covers added etc. One more question please. Did a radio delete option exist on 67 model year and if so I assume it was just a cover plate over the radio location opening and dash remained the same.

    Hi,
are you looking for this one? I just bought it for the 67S I am going to buy, just in case...
If I don't need it, it will be for sale.

    Hi Michael,

your dash looks like one part of a MY 1968 dash. For the model year 1968 the dash was made out of two parts which was unique for that year.
Up to 8/1967 it was a one part dash.
So be sure that your car´s VIN is starting with 118XXXXX ->MY 1968.

67, I can't tell if that is what I need or not. Mine is so deteriorated and I'm so unknowledgeable I will have to sit on the sidelines and let people in the know give input. If it turns out it is for a 67 and you do decide to sell it please advise.

    "Up to 8/67..."

I've got my dash leaning up in a corner of my bedroom. Can't tell you how much my wife loves having car parts scattered all over the house! Dash in the bedroom, window frames in the laundry room, windshields under the bed, seats in the sunroom...I mean just about everywhere.

My project is a '67. The dash I have has a much different speaker pattern and a seam that runs from end to end. Is this the two part dash your are referring to?

The good part about the pre-69 dashes is that they can be re-vinyled pretty easily. It's the 69-73 dashes that crack so easily and are VERY expensive to have redone.

What I'm having a problem understanding is on an early cars the speaker hole's are an integral part of the dash covering. The one's I have seen redone have had the holes covered over. So my question is other than locating a NOS dash which I would think near impossible or a like new does anyone recover correctly with hole's in new vinyl. I hope I'm making sense.
