    help ID this part number

i just checked my "66-68" parts manual but the revision date for section 0/5 page 5 is revised as of 3/69 and does not include this part number. the second section of the part number pictured here may be a typo. anyone have an earlier version of the parts book cited above ?

    Jerry,

I have one of these, got it from you. I think they are correct only until the factory started putting the decals on the indentations in the engine lid latch panel, which would be during 1965 production (Have to check Dr. Johnson for the decal intro). Ruf's car, 300 037, is the only one that I've ever seen with this decal, on the Solex Air Cleaner intake horn. Seinfeld's 300 049 doesn't have it, and that car was restored by the factory.

As best I can tell from looking at the electronic parts book the numbers for the stickers are 901 006 502 00 through about 510 for the various applications. So that's probably a good number but so old it didn't make the database.

Your right.. its the first type of decal used on the air cleaner.. The 66-68 parts manual lists 502,,, and my Porsche database dosnt list 501.. Unfortunatly I dont have the 64 parts manual anymore..
I still had the original decal on my 901 chassis 300024. Ruf had his decal reproduced when he restored his car.
