WANTED: early 5 speed transmission / transaxel

title says it all. prefer local sale (NorCal / S.F. Bay Area) but will consider others. here's what i need: the TYPE number as stamped along the bottom ridge of the casting. this will be in the form of 901/1 902/02 etc. please note that 901/1 and 901/01 are different. (901.301.101.OR is a casting number for the case only and provides no information as to the internals) a serial number (also stamped into the case) is also a help. any known history, asking price, etc. is also helpful. expecting to start on this project by fall. thanks for listening.

    Jerry,

I have Four early boxes all out of "65 and '66. I also have two early NOS unstamped 901 cases. I will turn'em over and jot down the numbers as well a the gear ratios for you tomorrow if you're interested. The only drawback is that I'm on the east coast. Let me know.

    Regards,

    Chuck

I have a type 901/2 for sale. Just bought it, supposed to be good, oil is clean and clear, don't know if it's 4 or 5 speed, any info would be appreciated. Can get s/n if that'll help. mschnittker@att.net
