Early S Registry 2007 Photo Calendar

With all of the beautiful photos of our cars on this site and the depth of the "Random Historical Pictures" thread, has there ever been an annual calendar put together? I looked on the website and didn't see anything. I'm always looking for a cool vintage motorsport calendar. The 912 Registry calendar is excellent.

It may also be a good way to "donate" money for our Registry.

We could start a thread for submission of ideas. Factory photos, old racing archives, EarlyS cars, current vintage racing, Heuer chronos, hood lights, and other close ups of "unobtainium".

    Just an idea...

    Curta Calculator

    Hey Henry,

Great idea for a calendar! I'm in. Interesting picture you posted on the dash mounted timers. It shows an early Curta calculator also. I just love those things. I have one in mint condition that my father bought in Germany back in the mid 60's. Maybe I should mount that to my dash.

From what I can tell on their website, it looks like these are wallpapers for download. The webmaster takes submissions and edits for a calendar graphic. We could just make it a simple as that.

We could also make a decent quality paper calendar suitable to hanging in the garage. I just sent them an email asking if these were available as a yearly hardcopy. I know I frequently get the "Porsche Historics" calendar, hoping for the old stuff!

Maybe someone with graphic/advertising experience can chime in with what would be involved to print. It could be a nice way to supplement membership support for the club.

In the meantime, here's some more teasers

PS Scott - hang on to that Curta. All that old rally stuff is going through the roof!

The 912 calendar is gorgeous! I know a few photographers that are members that I am SURE have some equivalently beautiful photos for a calendar.

Great photos - lots to drool over.

Henry, I know about the rising prices of rally stuff. Not sure where a Curta calculator fits in though. They seem to be selling on evilbay for $1000 and up. I did consider selling it to pay for Porsche parts.

I really like the pic with the early car and a P-40. I have about 25 hours on one of those.
