    Porsche 100,000 KM Decals

I have seen some of the Porsche 100,000 KM decals around lately. Does anyone know to what model year(s) these decals were available, and perhaps where I could source one.

    Thanks,

ebay.com...they are usually for flat4 motors of 356's.
Available since the mid50'ies and originally a metal badge to be mounted on the rear motor grill.

I own an original Porsche 100,000 km metal badge.

These were given to owners of 356 Porsche's and Volkswagen's after their 100,000 service. It was a way of thanking them for their ownership. The original Porsche metal badges are somewhat rare and seem to sell in the $75 to 100 dollar range.

Porsche and Volkswagen discontinued the issuance in the late 50's.

Decals, to the best of my knowledge are just a copy of the original metal badge and were never associated with the 911 model

Many thanks for your help with this. The badge/decal does not seem to belong on a 72' car, and so I suppose I do not need to lock any further here.

    Thanks, Lars

as best i've been able to tell the program was discontinued about 1970. if anyone has an original they'd like to sell, i'm in the market. if you're not sure how to tell, i can help. for anyone interested, nice repros are available from the usual 356 sources. there is also now a 200K badge
    cheers
