    Long Shot

I have been in the market for a decent driver either SWB or LWB or possibly both. I missed out on a 72 911E as I could not pull the trigger on what appeared to be a good ebay deal.

A part of me also like the outlaw hot rod look. I recall about 10 to 15 years ago, when the magazine European Cars used to be called VW&Porsche. There was an article about a hot rod 1973, I recall it was yellow, wide rear fenders, duck tail and four incredible painted Cibie lights up front. Does anybody recall this particular car. I have been thinking about it and it would certainly be the type of hot rod I would look to build.

As the title says it is a long shot that anyone remembers this particular car. But apprciate the help.

I recall an article like you describe. It was a real RS touring in yellow with 4 cibies on the front. Cool car. Do not have or remember which issue it was in though.

    Nice looking rental car!

On the more serious side, I checked my limited 'collection' of VW/P mags and couldn't find it. Perhaps someone else can.

Yup, that's the one I was remembering as well. I think that was the article that made me always like/want a 911 with cibie's on the hood.
