Looks like a twin plug w/efi. The dealer is a couple blocks away from me. I go by there pretty much every day, but haven't seen that one.

    new owner '68 3.4

hi everyone, i'm a new 911 registry member and new owner of the '68 911L that sold on ebay recently. it is one seriously fast car. i drove it back from the bay area to albuquerque straight through and made pretty good time even though i never took it over 140 mph. never owned a 911 til now, always been a 356 guy. no more. my '54 pre-a coupe just isn't that fun anymore. anyone interested in buying one?

I have to ask...is it spooky fast or fast but manageable?

    jury's out

i'm not quite sure yet. on the long staights, it feels stable even at high speeds. one does have to be careful when accelerating around corners though. i guess the scary part for me is that i've never sat on that kind of power before, very humbling. i won't really know how well it handles until the snow and ice is gone from our fun mountain roads. as i've been reading through the stack of meticulously keep receits, i'm amazed at the money the former owner put into the car. there has to be close to $40,000 in the motor and tranny alone. i mention this only because some of you may think i was nuts for paying that kind of money for a '68. but, it's basically a one owner, black plate ca. car meticulously kept and maintained. so far, it seems a bargain.

Welcome to the world of horsepower - my '64C cabriolet has been neglected since I caught the early 911 bug! I just bought a '73 Targa with a 3.2, full suspension redo, corner balanced, etc., and it's fassssttt - and that's with a lowly single-plug motor! Yours must be scary fast.

    Enjoy!
